About Golf X

Golf X is an online golf system, designed for multiple clubs, where users could login and book tee-off times from any computer. There was also a mobile device application, where users could enter their golf scores directly into their mobile, and upload them to their online account. From their account, they could see and print their golf scores. Each user’s handicap was also updated automatically at the end of each month. There was also an administrative application where administrators could manage tee-off times, view live feeds of scores, and email each user with upcoming event details.

The online application was implemented using HTML and PHP, linked to a local SQL database. The mobile application was implemented with J2ME, using threads and servlets to connect to the database.
